Preschool & Kindergarten learn about turkeys

Mr. Larry Boyd came and spoke to the preschool and kindergarten students about turkeys. He read them a story which told all about turkeys, showed them many turkey calls, demonstrated the turkey calls and even let the children see a real turkey coat. The children had many questions which he answered. The children loved being able to touch the turkey calls and try them out. We would like to thank Mr. Larry for coming in and sharing his time.

Preschool listen to the story.

Mr. Larry demonstrates how to use a turkey call.

Reading the story to the children.

Mr. Larry tells the students about the colors of the turkeys. And shows them the Tom bird coat.

Mr. Larry demonstrates to the children how to use one of the many turkey calls he had. He showed the students how they could make a turkey call out of a plate. The children thought this was very interesting.

Mr. Larry explained to the students that the turkeys will cluck to each other all day long to communicate. Similar to how we talk to one another.
