March of Dimes

October 28th and 29th students of Griffith Elementary walked in the March of Dimes Walk-A-Mania. For 65 years, the March of Dimes has depended on the generosity of children like those at GES to raise funds to carry out its mission of preventing infant mortality and birth defects. Last year Griffith Elementary School was honored as being one of the top fundraisers in the country for the March of Dimes organization. Each year Ms. Leslie Smith coordinates this event. Congratulations to Mrs. Kristi Albright's preschool classroom. The preschooler raised the most money this year and were rewarded with a cupcake party and a gift certificate for a free Wacky Pack from Sonic. Earning the most money for the school was little Timothy McDaniel pictured here with his teacher, Mrs. Kristi. Timothy received a fifty dollar gift card.
